Hello Everyone. There was a previous question in 2023 ( [How to use grdecl or zmap grid / or how to convert them to msh or vtu - OpenGeoSys Community](https://discourse.opengeosys.org/t/how-to-use-grdecl-or-zmap-grid-or-how-to-convert-them-to-msh-or-vtu/1268)) but I was wondering if there is “any way, method or technique” to convert a grdecl file into a vtu or vti format or as close as possible?

Regards,
Iman

Hello Iman,

I’m not aware of such a tooling. And I don’t know the grdecl format.

Could it be that there is some confusion of OpenGeoSys (OGS, us) and OpenGoSim (PFLOTRAN-OGS)? At least on the OpenGoSim webpage they mention that format: [GRDECL grids — PFLOTRAN documentation](https://docs.opengosim.com/manual/input_deck/grid/grdecl/). Maybe you should take a look at that page. The two projects are not related at all.

Best regards,
Christoph
