convertGEO tool

Hi All,
I want to convert *.gli file to *.geo file using convertGEO tool and command is as follows

convertGEO.exe -o L-Q.geo -i L-Q.gli

However, I found error message "Writing of geometry failed. Since it was not possible to determine the required format from extension". Any idea about the error source? For curiosity, I also used *.gml file. I attached *.gli & *.gml files.

What are *.geo files? convertGEO supports only *.gli and *.gml to convert OGS5 files to OGS6.

Dear Nori,

Now it is clear. I thought convertGEO is to convert *.gli or *.gml file to Gmsh file extension *.geo !

To create a GMSH geo file from *.gli, you can use GINA. The program has the exporting function. I guess OGS6 DataExplorer can also do it but from *.gml file.

Dear Nori,
I will check GINA. OGS6 DataExplorer can also convert *.gli to *.geo. File>Open>Right Bottom (GeoSys legacy files)>>Tools>> Create Mesh From Input Data>>> Advanced (UnTick Delete GMSH geo-file after generating mesh) .
