OGS 6.0.8 on Ubuntu 16.04

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to run OGS 6.0.8 on a linux system d(Ubuntu 16.04).

the file ./DataExplorer runs and starts up ok. as soon as a shapefile is loaded, it crashes. any other feature does not allow any function at all. it crashes with the following error: Illegal instruction (core dumped)

i am currently using ogs-6.0.8-Linux-4.8.13-1-ARCH-x64-de-utils.

any help would be appreciated.

we made some changes recently to improve compatibility. Please try out the latest binaries:

thank you for your email. i downloaded the latest binaries.

now, it seems there is an issue with qt5 library. i get the following errors:

~/Documents/ogs/ogs-6.0.8-529-g3882e10-Linux-4.10.5-1-ARCH-x64-de-utils/bin$ ./DataExplorer

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Gui.so.5: version `Qt_5’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.6’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5XmlPatterns.so.5: version `Qt_5’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Xml.so.5: version `Qt_5’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

./DataExplorer: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Widgets.so.5: version `Qt_5’ not found (required by ./DataExplorer)

this is quite weird, as i seem to have these installed, with the exception of 3rd line where it notes ‘Qt_5.6’ not found. could not locate Qt_5.6 specifically.
