Dear OGS Community,

We’re excited to invite you to this year’s OpenGeoSys Community Meeting, which will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2025 at TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF).

The meeting will kick off with an OGS Hackathon on Monday, 29.09.2025, followed by two days of presentations, discussions, and workshops:

Whether you’re a developer, researcher, or user of OpenGeoSys, this is a great opportunity to connect, share your work, and contribute to the ongoing development of the platform.

If you want to participate, please send an email to [email protected] until 30.08.2025 indicating which days you want to join and if you want contribute a talk, demo, workshop theme etc.

Hackathon

The upcoming OGS Hackathon is open to all participants, from new users to experienced modellers and developers. The event provides an opportunity to work on OGS features, tools, and documentation, in close exchange with fellow participants and the OGS core development team.

Participants may bring their own topics or contribute to ideas suggested by the OGS core team.

For those unable to attend in Freiberg, there will be an option to participate remotely.

  • 10:00 – 17:00 (including a one-hour lunch break)
  • Afterward: social event and dinner
