Dear all,
We cordially invite you to the next OpenGeoSys Community Meeting (OGS-CM 2026) on September 22nd and 23rd 2026, midday until midday. This year, the Federal Company for Radioactive Waste Disposal (BGE) and Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) will host the OGS-CM together at Geozentrum Hannover.
Additionally, on September 21st 2026, as well as in the morning of September 22nd 2026, the fifth edition of the OGS Hackathon will take place in the Geozentrum. This format will continue to bring you closer to the OGS development with interactive programming sessions. You can bring an OGS problem to the hackathon that you are interested in solving. Please take a closer look at: [OGS Discourse Link].
Finally, on September 22nd, the OGS development team will host a half-day OGS tutorial at the Geozentrum, which is closely tied-in with the hackathon and which will illustrate and explain examples of OGS model applications for users (beginner and advanced levels) [OGS Discourse Link].
Once again, we are planning all events in hybrid form, in order to save travel costs and to attract our international partners. We are looking forward to a lively participation. Since the community meeting consists of the several events mentioned above, would you be so kind and fill in the following query by August 21st 2026, please? This will help us a lot with the planning, thank you!
