we’ll start a small OGS developer training series this week on Friday, 6 June 2025 10:00 – 10:30 in the usual C++ Club room (BBB). The series will have at least three weekly sessions (i.e., until 20 June 2025).
The topic of the series will be how degrees of freedom are handled in OGS: How the mapping from node and element ids to entries in the global matrices/vectors works and how to use it in the FEM assembly, pre- and postprocessing. So, it’s highly relevant for anybody implementing own processes, special source terms etc.
Everybody from the OGS user and developer community is welcome to join the trainings. If you want to participate and need the meeting link, please respond to this forum post and we’ll send you the link.
Thank you for your interest in the developer training. I shared the link with you either via private message here on Discourse or via email. I hope I did not forget anybody.
Just FYI: The series still continues.
We just discussed using the d.o.f. table for BCs in OGS.
Next week (Friday, 27th June, 10:00, same place): d.o.f.s and Python BCs.
